As the USC game sent me into DottingtheI blogging hibernation, I’ve had the last few days of traveling and recuperating to glance back at Saturday’s massacre and think about how unfortunate I’ve been as an Ohio State student.

When I say “unfortunate”, I do not mean “unlucky or regrettable,” as my peers and I have been blessed with many solid Buckeye triumphs from BCS Wins to National Championship losses. However, our spoiled natured fans have become extremely unhappy with recent performances and results.

Dear Dottingthei,
FW: Coach Tressel

I’m sick and tired of Ohio State Football. The build ups (specifically to the Nat’l Championships game) and the let downs (game losses) are too much for me to handle. Coach Tressel is the most predictable coach in football. He runs the same plays over and over again to gain 2, 3 yards and then runs a 2nd and 23 option for -3 yards. I do not care about beating Michigan anymore. I take that back, I do.. But it’s getting old. Just win a big game, go wild, play an underclassman athlete at wide-out, run a successful option..but most importantly, win a big game and gain us so respect back. USC is better than us at everything football wise.

Sincerely,
MattBucki

You are right Matt. USC tailgating is much, much better than that in Columbus. On campus tailgating, no open container laws, laid back atmosphere at one giant party. Fraternity and Sorority row is amazing as well; parties out on the streets and front yards which is entirely banned in the east off-campus student housing. In fact, I’ve had friends get arrested for open containers on their properties off-campus. In fact, USC tailgating felt much safer, which may me true.

Yes, Tressel is the most predictable coach and teams know that. They know he’ll run on first and second and 10. Yes, Terrelle Pryor should have been quarterbacking the majority of the game and the coaching staff is starting to know that. What people need to understand, is that Beanie is our team. He made Boeckman efficient and revealed our much overrated receivers so Todd could make easier passes. With Beanie, Sanchez, Mcknight, Gable, and crew would have still demolished the much overrated Buckeyes, but we would have looked like the whole new team we are Beanie.

Marcus Freeman and James Laurinaitis are now considered a poor man’s Rey Maulauga and Brian Cushing; rightfully so. The Buckeye secondary was not torched yard wise, but made it very easy for Sanchez the throw through the air. CJ Gable (from “The Wood” as he mentioned in his stadium scoreboard introduction) and Joe McKnight embarrassed LoWo (Lawrence Wilson) and Nader Abdallah..well the whole line.

The Buckeye O-line was less than despicable. No other comment.

National Championship dreams for these returning seniors and most importantly ME…gone.

Only good thing to come out of this: Pryor will see the field much more as Boeckman was miles below satisfactory.  It was sad to sit next to his family and hear derogatory shouts (F#$% Boeckman and Boeckman is an @!# hole).  How do you take that as a parent?  We’ll be seeing the Pryor era begin very soon.
