Here are some notes of what is going on in Buckeye Land on this snowy Tuesday afternoon:
- Tajh Boyd is set to make his decision at 5 p.m. this afternoon. It is said to be down to OSU, Clemson, and Oregon, but most feel Oregon is out due to distance. Clemson boards and OSU boards both feel he will go to their schools, but one thing going for the Bucks, is that Tajh wants to enroll early.
- Glenville OL Marcus Hall is down to OSU and Miami (FL) and will make his decision between now and National Signing Day, with this week a possibility. Teammate Mike Edwards who recently committed to Tennessee said Hall’s decision will “shock” people, but I still think he favors OSU. Stay tuned for more on Hall coming soon, as signing day is February 4.
- Memphis (TN) Harding WR Marlon Brown will receive and in-hous visit from Jim Tressel on Thursday. Brown visited Florida this past weekend and is making a trip to in-state Tennessee this weekend. Hopefully JT can make a last minute pitch to Marlon, who is very close to Terrelle Pryor and would be swayed if Boyd and Hall committed to OSU this week.
- OSU came in 3rd in the prestige rankings , behind Oklahoma and USC, and right ahead of Notre Dame. Can’t complain about that placement.
- There are rumors that QB Joe Bauserman will transfer and Dave Biddle from Bucknuts tells us why it is another reason OSU will need Boyd very badly.
- The cagers will take on scUM tomorrow night at The Schott at 6:30 PM. The Bucks really need the win, as they are 3-4 in the conference and let one slip away from them on Sunday. Please, somebody step up and be “the guy” on a consistent basis (cough cough Evan Turner cough cough)
- Finally a shout out to our friends at Fandome. The site is awesome and has had a lot of success so far. Check out Buckeye Dome for OSU Videos, Blog Postings, News, and other cool information and media features on OSU Sports.
