With the arrival of the new freshman football players to Ohio State’s campus the summer, some upperclassman had some thinking to do concerning their futures’. The 2008 class includes the “freak” of an athlete Terrelle Pryor, who will more than surely claim the starting QB position once Todd Boeckman graduates after this upcoming season. In fact, Boeckman may see his playing time dwindle as the season carries on, and Tressel becomes more comfortable playing the freshman in particular situations. The future is bright for this Buckeye frosh.

For other reserve quarterbacks on the squad, their future’s aren’t looking so dandy. Red Shirt Sophomore Antonio Henton spent last season playing behind Boeckman, getting in trouble with the law (soliciting a prostitute), and waiting for his turn to play. Although, that turn will most likely not come as rumors state that Henton will be transferring to Georgia Southern. However, this has not yet been confirmed by the University, so this is, in fact, a rumor.

Henton would join his former Peach County High School head coach (Rance Gillespie) at Georgia Southern. Gillespie was named Offensive Coordinator at GSU last year. Henton would be able to play right away as GSU is a 1-AA program.

Henton’s career stats as a Buckeye include: 3 games, 3 completions (of 6) for 57 yards and 1 touchdown, 9 rushes for 57 yards

Where does this leave the Buckeyes?

-Boeckman as Starter, Pryor as immediate backup
-Bauserman will see playing time
-Need to recruit QB’s in ‘09 or ‘10
