Ohio State (5) vs. Wisconsin (4)Friday 2:30 pm tip offThe Buckeyes battle Wisconsin Friday in the 2nd round of the Big Ten Tournament with a lot on the line. Currently, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has the Buckeyes in the tournament at this point as a 10 seed, but will a loss at Wisconsin keep the Buckeyes safely in the field of 64?Selection Committee member A:Yes. Ohio State has enough quality wins and too few bad losses to keep them out of the Tournament.  Wins at Miami-FL, Minnesota, Purdue, and Butler look extremely solid on the resume.  An RPI of 41 also looks good with a current Strength of schedule at 25 adds to the qualities of the resume.  Ohio State will receive a 9 seed. Selection Committee member B:No. Ohio State was unimpressive down the stretch losing at Northwestern, losing to Illinois at home, and getting killed at Purdue.  David Lighty made this team much better and he is done for the year.  They do not have enough depth on the team to be a complete contender in the field and are better off in the NIT.  A win vs. Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament would have been a lock. My prediction: Win vs. Wisconsin!!!
