Nathan Williams, the impressive first year DE/LB, was arrested for shoplifting from a Beavercreek, Ohio Macy’s on Wednesday. Williams claims he has taken the blame for a friend and is not guilty of stealing three shirts placed at an $80.00 value.

Whether or not Williams is telling the truth, he must go to court on Tuesday and faces a possible maximum penalty of 6 months in prison and $1,000 fine. While this punishment is highly unlikely, Williams does not find himself in a favorable position with the law and the Ohio State coaching staff.

Williams showed an ability to be an explosive player at both the hybrid LB/DE position, as well as at DT this season. Whenever he was in he was constantly making plays in the backfield and figured to be a big part of the future for the Ohio State defense. Williams likely faces a suspension for the bowl game, among other possible team punishments.
