Sam Longo just became the latest commit of the 2009 recruiting class when he committed this afternoon.
Longo is an offensive tackle from Bellbrook High School near Dayton and is the 24th player in Ohio State’s 2009 recruiting class.
Longo was offered June 25th and felt the pressure to commit with the 2009 class quickly filling up.
He told the Dayton Daily News this:
I just thought if the offer closed up, could I live with it? I stopped worrying and jumped on it.
Longo chose the Buckeyes over an impressive list of offers including Penn State, Nebraska, Miami (Fla.), and Florida State.
Sam, like Duron Carter, is continuing the lineage as his father transferred in from Miami (Ohio) in 1980 and played linebacker for the Buckeyes.
