Jim Tressel has added recruit number 23 to the 2009 class in Cleveland Glenville DE/OLB/OL Jonathan Newsome.
The 6′4 225 pounder committed to Ohio State Tuesday afternoon. Newsome chose the Buckeyes over other Big-Ten programs Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
The OSU coaching staff hopes that Glenville teammate OL Marcus Hall will soon make the same decision as Newsome did shortly.

How about EJ Banks? I think we will take him if he wants to come because he is a great athlete and cousin of joey galloway…Hall, Watt, Berry, and Banks are all to be said to be the only ones we will take no matter what…I’m sure JT has already told some prospects to move on, but Vlad is a guy who loves the Bucks and I’d love to have—1 question though…If he likes OSU so much and the class is filling up why hasnt he pulled the trigger? Unless the staff told him they’d wait the possibility is there that he was told the door is closed…who knows this is a crazy year!
