DeVoe Torrence, little brother of Buckeye sophomore wide-receiver Devon Torrence, was cleared of all charges against him Friday, according to Fox 19 News in Cincinnati. Torrence was charged with the involvement in a local sex-ring in Canton at the beginning of the calendar year. Torrence had verbally committed to OSU and was part of the 2008 recruiting class, but his scholarship offer was pulled when allegations were made.

The 6-foot 2 inch 210 pound athlete is rated as the sixth best running back in the class of 2008 by Rivals.com After charges were cleared, Torrence is rumored to still be interested in Ohio State but it is extremely unlikely he will be re-offered a scholarship as the class is beyond filled. Also, summer practices have begun.

Akron, Cincinnati, Michigan, and Michigan State are other schools of interest for Torrence and he’ll wait to see if he receives any offers to play. He may indeed be reconsidered for the class of 2009.
