**2008 All-American Offense**

**Quarterback-

Tim Tebow- (JR. Florida 6-3 235lbs.)- The true definition of an All-American, the poster child for college football at its finest wows moms and sports fans alike with his arm as well as his feet. The sophomore was the first quarterback in the history of the sport to run and pass for 20 touchdowns as well as the youngest player to win the heralded Heisman Trophy award.

**Running Backs-

Chris Wells- (JR. Ohio State, 6-1 236lbs.)- The top-recruited high school running back three years ago from Akron, OH, Wells has become the star college football analysts expected him to be. After rushing for 1600 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, what will this bruiser do for an encore? Maybe strike a Heisman pose?

Knowshon Moreno- (RSO. Georgia, 5-11 208lbs.)- This talented New Jersey native became the first Georgia tailback since Hershel Walker in 1982 to compile five consecutive 100-yard rushing games. With a little help from the “other” heralded back Caleb King to take a carry here and there, Moreno could stay healthy through the SEC season and set some major records for the Bulldogs of Athens, GA.

**Wide Receivers-

Michael Crabtree- (RSO. Texas Tech, 6-3 208lbs.)- Talk about bursting onto the scene in America’s gridiron state, more specifically Lubbock, TX. In his first year as a starter at the collegiate level, Crabtree shattered several NCAA freshman wide-out records after recording 1,962 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. One of only eight consensus All-Americans last year, when he lines up adjacent to signal caller Graham Harrell, big plays are mere seconds away.

Jeremy Maclin- (RSO. Missouri 6-1 198lbs.)- Similar to his highly productive conference mate listed above, Maclin set the nation on fire with a sensational season for the up and coming Missouri Tigers. The All-American set an NCAA freshman record for all-purpose yards with 2,776 total and seems primed to continue the trend in hopes of leading Mizzou to their first Big-12 Conference championship since 1969.

Percy Harvin- (JR. Florida 5-11 188lbs.)- The do-it-all pass catching machine for coach Urban Meyer showed he could be a lethal weapon in various ways after rushing for 764 yards as well as grabbing 59 footballs for 858 yards in 2007. One year wiser and more athletically tuned, his 23 total touchdowns could look more like 30 if he continues to round into top-talent form.

**Tight End-

Travis Beckum- (SR. Wisconsin 6-3 233lbs.)- Who says tight ends are just on the field to block? Beckum’s 982 receiving yards were the most in the nation for his respective position, to go along with 13 touchdown grabs. He might be a little smaller and less of a blocker than Oklahoma State’s Brandon Pettigrew and Missouri’s Chase Coffman but no tight end is more important to their team’s offense production then the Milwaukee, Wisconsin resident.

**Tackles-

Andre Smith- (JR. Alabama, 6-5 340lbs.)- The cornerstone of a massive Alabama line, Smith will have NFL scouts lining up to catch a glimpse throughout the fall in Tuscaloosa. If this team hopes to seriously compete in the SEC, he will need to buy the backfield some extra time to hit the open holes.

Sam Young- (JR. Notre Dame, 6-8 330lbs.)- Young star Jimmy Clausen will need a superb year to lead the Fighting Irish back to glory, however it all starts behind this Outland Trophy award finalist and South Bend standout.

**Guards-

Duke Robinson- (SR. Oklahoma, 6-5 338lbs.)- There is a reason quarterback Sam Bradford led the nation in completion percentage during the 07′ campaign, lets just say he got the royal treatment to protect his blindside.

Herman Johnson- (SR. LSU, 6-7 348lbs.)- If you watched the 2008 BCS National Championship you know Johnson is simply a phenomenon. Someone of his size should not be able to have the tremendous lateral movement he showcases on the inside. When he walks, the earth shakes. When he suits up, so do opposing defenses.

**Center-

Jonathan Luigs- (SR. Arkansas, 6-4 314lbs.)- The unsung hero on a team which lost sum luster to the NFL Draft in April (Mcfadden, Jones) Luigs will help newbie coach Bobby Petrino transition his offense into Fayetteville by showcasing his leadership skills on and off the field.

**Kick Returner- Brandon Tate- (SR. North Carolina 6-1 195lbs.)- He can straight-up fly and when given open space, this Tarheel can put six points on the scoreboard.

**Punt Returner- Jeremy Maclin- (RSO. Missouri 6-1 198lbs.)- In case you were wondering, he can do more than just catch the ball thrown by a quarterback.

**Kicker- Thomas Weber- (SO. Arizona State, 6-1 205lbs.)- First freshman to win Lou Groza Award after compiling a school record 118 points. Yeah, he can put the oblong ball between the uprights now and again and again.
