Hey Ohio fans I feel your pain from the last two losses for the national Championship. I am a long time USC fan and I think this game will be outstanding. Yes, I will admit we will have to bring our best game to stay with your defense and yes you will have to do the same. However, we are very young up front and I think that is your advantage. I suggest that you win this one because next year will be a whole lot different. I would not be shocked if you won the one in september and we met again for the national title…. By then I can guarantee you that you will see a different team… Just look at the bowl records and you have to agree. Good luck and I look forward to an outstanding game…

Our boys need to have the mentality they had going into the Texas game a couple years ago.

Nothing is handed to you Buckeyes. You have to earn it.

I really hope Lamaar Thomas DOESN’T run the kickoff back for a TD(aka vs. Florida in NC), so the rest of the team doesn’t relax and think it’s going to be a cakewalk. It won’t.

I believe our defense is going to have to set the tone for this game. Get pressure on Sanchez early. An early sack will go a long ways for OSU.

Ohio State is going to have to play a full 4 qtrs. to win this game. I believe it can and will be done. It’s going to be a slobberknocker.

I’m optimistic, just caustiously. I’m not ready quite yet to declare us winning by “slaughter” or a “bloodbath” like Hugh Hewitt seems to think. I think we win the USC game by about a 7-10 point spread. Even when we win this game, we will hear it from the SEC folks about how we were “supposed to win.” The only way to shut them up is to beat them on the field in game that matters, that being the BCS National Championship game. No other way. No Heisman. No number of All-Americans. No Big 10 Title. No number of NFL players. Nothing will shut them up until we kick them in their teeth on the field. We will eventually (this year) beat them and the feeling that day is going to be sweet.

It’s a new year Corey. Be optimistic! This is our year and USC is young. I see it similar to the last Texas game. I’m sick of hearing about the SEC. We schedule a heavyweight every year and then run through a tough Big Ten (the game in Madsion will not be easy- SEC folks).. If we run the table then we have another legit shot at the title. Too much has been made about our last two championship games, even though we played like **&( . We do have championship and at least we are always in the running each year. How many SEC can say that?

Buckeyes win this one 28-17…Boeckman is one year smarter, while Sanchez, more talented than Boeckman as a first year guy, struggles against the tough OSU D-line and LB blitzes….I say Marcus Freeman and Lawrence Wilson shine in this one

good article…I have this feeling that the Bucks will come out on top…kind of the same feeling I had when we played Penn State this year and Texas on the road two years ago…I do not envision us going there and losing (especially a blow out)…I think the Pac 10 is overated and I think USC is a late blooming team undergoing the “reloading” process (never rebuilding with a power like that)….I see this like the Texas series where they came into our house the first year and beat us while we beat them the following year after they lost a lof of talent…i say OSU wins in ‘08 by a score of 24-20 while USC wins in ‘09 by a score of 31-21
