It was a very close game in Columbus tonight. The Buckeyes gave everything they had and so did the Houston Baptist Huskies. The score was tied. Nobody knew who was going to win. The problem for Houston Baptist was that the game hadn’t started yet.Soon after the game tipped off, the Ohio State Buckeyes controlled its outcome, wire to wire, en route to a 89-65 win in Value City Arena. The game against former NAIA Houston Baptist could not have been scheduled at a better time, as OSU was coming off two straight road losses in conference to Minnesota and Michigan State. The game also serves as a tune-up before OSU continues it’s Big Ten slate against Indiana at home on Tuesday night. The Buckeyes showed what they are capable of doing in this one, as they dominated in every aspect of the game. William Buford lead the team in scoring, with a career-high 19 points. Evan Turner added 15, BJ Mullens had 12, and Jeremie Simmons had 12 as well. Nikola Kecman, recently back from a suspension, played his first minutes as a Buckeye and scored 6 points. OSU shot 56 % from the field,  a number that is actually deflated due to garbage minutes at the end of the game.OSU improved to 11-3 on the season, but still remains 1-2 in the conference. The Bucks will look to turn things around against IU on Tuesday (7 P.M., Big Ten Network). Enjoy your weekend and GO BUCKS!
