All I can think about right now is that status of Chris “Beanie” Wells who went down with a foot injury in the third quarter. Initial reports from FOX Sports Radio indicated that Beanie was diagnosed with Turf-toe. Later, a “relative,” close to Wells, called in to the program and stated that Chris had torn a ligament in foot. Hopefully this “relative” will be proven wrong and we will see #28 in full pads next week (although it may be safer to keep him on the sideline).
The injury has overshadowed a great defensive performance which held YSU to negative rush yards. Freshman quarterback Terrelle Pryor (TP) turned in an amazing performance for his first time in scarlet and gray.
More will be analyzed later as we all have our minds on Beanie for the moment.
Other major injuries from other teams that have fans feeling like I do right now: Missouri star WR Jeremy Macklin was carted of the field with an ankle injury and Georgia DT Jeff Owens left the game with a knee injury
