Jim Tressel just told the media this at the team walkthrough in the Coliseum:
“He would cut his foot off for these guys, but I just don’t think as I listen to the medical people it would be the right thing to do…I’m not sure he’ll ever speak to me again, but I think it’s the right thing to do, so we won’t have Beanie tomorrow.”
The trio of Boom Herron, Mo Wells, and Brandon Saine will have to step it up for the Buckeyes if they plan on beating the Trojans.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackNone of this makes sense to me. Why would we come out and say he won’t play a day before the game? Why give that info to USC? I still think we see beanie.
I truly believe this is a media ploy.
I really think we see him tomorrow night and I was shocked when the announcement came down as were numerous people.
Seeing Herbie’s reaction after he watched the walkthrough and I talked to someone extremely close to the team and it came as a huge surprise.
All the players truly believed he would be back for this game so this is absolutely shocking.
We can win without Beanie but it makes the task even tougher.

I think it is a ruse to confuse USC. Beanie will play.
