Ohio State coach Jim Tressel just stated in his Thursday press conference that tailback Beanie Wells will not play when the Buckeyes take the field on Saturday.

He has not practiced with the team this week and has spent much of the time wearing a protective boot due to his foot injury during last week’s YSU game. Tressel has been mum on the specific nature of his injury but look for him to sit out this week and hopefully be back for next week’s titanic matchup vs. USC.
